Edith H. Sisson, 87, Pomeroy, passed away on July 5, 2010, in Huntington, WV. She was born on April 22, 1923, in Racine, OH, daughter of the late Hanson Holter and Elma Roush Holter. She was formerly employed as a dispatcher with the Pomeroy Police Department.  She was a member of the Forest Run United Methodist Church and was a member of the Ladies Quilters Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a sister, Hazel Wynkoop.

She is survived by:  Children: Harold Sisson, Pomeroy; Ed (Peggy) Sisson, Stewart, OH; Jane (Larry) Banks, Syracuse; Grandchildren: Nate Sisson, Pomeroy; Brenna (Mike) Call, Pomeroy; Clare Sisson, Pomeroy; 2 Step Grandchildren: Stephanie (Tim) Fife, Pomeroy; David Banks, Pomeroy; 3 Great Grandchildren; Sister: Beatrice Stelzer, Columbus; Brothers: David (Delores) Holter, Pomeroy; Harold Holter, Long Bottom; Several Nieces and Nephews

Services will be held at 1:00P.M. on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy.  Officiating will be Rev. Bob Robinson.  Burial will be in Gilmore Cemetery.  Friends may call on Wednesday, July 7, from 4:00-8:00P.M. at the funeral home.
