Alice (Romine) Plantz of Middleport passed away at Overbrook on Sunday November 9, 2025, surrounded by family members born December 5, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Ottillia (Bickar) Romine of Rutland Ohio. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, watching Western shows on TV enjoying sweet treats such as circus peanuts and orange slices and many others, and playing BINGO with the staff and residence at Overbrook. She was a loving wife and mother that enjoyed the little things in life family was her everything. If family was not near, she never forgot about them and never stopped loving any of her family. Never attaching herself to material things, just enjoying things such as talking on the phone with loved ones and spending time with friends and family. When family wasn’t near, she enjoyed her pictures and was willing to share a story from the past. Her smile and laugh was contagious and she gave the most amazing hugs ever.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Plantz. She is survived by her child Kenneth “Humpy” (wife Roxie) Mullins Princeton Kentucky. Her brother Melvin Romine of Groveport Ohio. Many Grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her children Melvin Mullins and Ottillia Hensley along with her sisters, Katherine Lambert, Charlotte Morris, and brothers, Robert, William, Ernest and Kenneth Romine.
The family would like to thank the Overbrook staff for the care they have provided over the years along with the Amedisys Hospice care team.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM with Funeral services to follow at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy. Burial will follow at the Gravel Hill Cemetery.
