Avice Finlaw

Avice Finlaw, age 79, passed away on January 22, 2026. She was born on October 23, 1940 to the late Cecil and Gertrude (Lonis) Toban.  

Avice was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Elmer Finlaw Jr.; and her sister, Barbara Howard.

She is survived by her son, Brent (Pat) Finlaw; her sister, Lula Toban; her brother, Dan (Valerie) Toban; and several cherished nieces and nephews.

Avice will be remembered for her love of family and the care she showed to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held Friday March 20, 2026 at 1:00pm at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy.   Visitation for family and friends will be held one Hour Prior to the service (12-1:00pm).
