Bernice Juanita Clarke

Bernice Juanita Clarke, 86, of Pomeroy, Ohio passed away on October23, 2023.  She was born on August 14, 1937 in Letart, West Virginia daughter of the late Herbert and Helen Johnson.

She is survived by her children, Juanita and Jim Strange, Tom and Vickie Gibbs, Jim and Kim Gibbs and Larry and Retha Gibbs; grandchildren, Joey and Karla Belmont, Jessie, Linsey and Kelsey Gibbs, Dustin, Jaime and Devin Gibbs, and Travis and Michael Strange; 9 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Larry Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Clarke; a granddaughter, Brittney Strange and her sister, Shirley Sullivan.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 12:00pm with Pastor Michael King officiating at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy.  Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the funeral home.
