Carolyn Demosky

Carolyn Y. Demosky (Barker), born March 13, 1936, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, with the love of her life and devoted husband of 73 years, William E. Demosky, by her side.

Mam, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion, and the kindest of hearts. Her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her joyful spirit. She was a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering support to her close-knit family. Family meant everything to her.

In addition to her loving husband, Carolyn is survived by her children, Timothy Demosky (Jan), Cindy L Rowe (Jeff Wells), Melinda Venoy (Mark), and David Demosky (Jean). She also leaves behind grandchildren: Ryan Rowe (Lisa) – (great grandchildren Taylor Rowe (Kelsey) (great great grandchildren Kai and Graham); Peyton Cleland (Jerod) (great great grandchildren Avery, Bentley, and Ridley); Jeremy Rowe (Candy) – (great grandchildren Brycen and Brenen); Brooke Venoy – (great grandchildren Cole and Zane Williams ); Alexa Harmon (Jason) - (great grandchildren Liam and Sadie); and Matthew Demosky (great granddaughter Summer), who all adored her dearly.

Those who knew Carolyn will remember her wonderful sense of humor and the laughter she brought to so many family gatherings. She was a patient and caring shoulder to lean on, an empathetic voice of reason, and always ready to lend an ear, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.

Although Mam’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forward her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. Her light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.

The family will hold a graveside service at the Riverview Cemetery in Middleport Ohio, Friday August 14 at 1:00pm.
