Charlotte Louise Eakins, born January 7, 1968, passed away on November 7, 2025. She made her home in Pomeroy, Ohio, though her spirit always carried the strong, bright energy of a Southern Tornado. Charlotte lived her life with a full heart and a straightforward honesty that left a mark on everyone who knew her.
Charlotte loved her family deeply and found her greatest joy in the time she spent with her grandchildren. She was passionate about wrestling and devoted many years to her work as a State Tested Nursing Assistant, caring for others with patience and strength. She had a natural talent for growing flowers and plants, a gift she inherited from her mother, though she set it aside after her mother’s passing. Charlotte also loved to fish along the riverbank, always coming home with what she proudly called the largest little fish anyone had ever seen.
She wrote stories and dreamed about the life she might have shared if her mother were still with her, keeping that memory close to her heart. Charlotte only ever truly loved one man. Though their paths did not stay together, she carried that love with a steady loyalty, and she made sure his son knew he came from a good man.
Charlotte is survived by her sister, Norma Eakins; her son, Donald Eakins; her grandchildren, Lucien Eakins, Andrew Eakins, and Isabella Eakins; her nieces Nicole Eakins, Destiny Racer, along with several additional nieces and nephews who loved her.
Her life was not always easy, yet she met her days with resilience, humor, and an unmistakable flame in her spirit. She will be missed more than words can hold, and remembered in the small everyday moments where her love continues to live.
