David Paul Casci Sr., 75, of Middleport, Ohio passed away on June 23, 2023 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born on December 14, 1947 in Pomeroy, Ohio son of the late Paul and Gemma Casci.
He was a 1965 graduate of the Middleport High School Yellowjackets. David was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a 3rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 2171.
He was proud to have been a drummer in the marching band. He loved baseball and watching his children and grandchildren play ball. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and playing 3 Card Poker at the casino. He was also known as the "Godfather of Euchre."
David is survived by his wife, Connie Ann Casci; his children, Angela (Brandon Fackler) Casci, David Paul (Stephanie) Casci Jr., Matthew Casci, Kimberly (William Landers) Casci, Steven Persang, Wendy Persang and Carri Barrett; grandchildren, Brodie, Jacob, Gunner, Zaiden, Pyper, Avery, Ryder and Carson; siblings, Arthur (Joyce) Casci, Teresa Carr, Rita (Richard) Bailey, Ida Counts and Ron Casci; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline Casci.
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 29 at 11:00am with Reverend Father Donald Horak officiating at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours for family and friends will be on Wednesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Middleport.
