Eleanor Blaettnar-Eblin, 90 of Pomeroy, Ohio passed away peacefully at the Darst Adult Group Home on January 12, 2025.
Born December 22, 1934, the daughter of the late Jack Sr. and Olive Satterfield.
Eleanor was a graduate of Middleport High School and Ohio University.
She was employed by the Meigs Local School District for 30 years as a teacher and librarian.
Eleanor was a member of Trinity Church of Pomeroy and was instrumental in the pillowcase ministry.
Eleanor is survived by her husband Kenneth Eblin, Daughters Elizabeth (David) Golowenski, Mary (Scott) Warner, Catherine (Rick) Johnson, stepchildren Tony (Patty) Eblin, James (Angela) Eblin, John Eblin, Lois (Kevin) Oiler, and brother Jack (Charlotte) Satterfield. Eleanor also has 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her first husband John William Blaettnar and son Fredrick J Blaettnar.
There will be no service, but Eleanor would want memorial donations made to the Pomeroy Fire Department Association at PO Box 247 Pomeroy Ohio 45769.
The family would like to send a sincere thank-you to the Darst Adult Group Home for the wonderful care that Eleanor received during her stay there
