George Keith Mora, age 70, of Chester, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 21, 2025, at Holzer Medical Center, following a brief illness.
George was born on August 18, 1955, to the late Norman “Woodrow” and Kathryn (Karr) Mora. He was a graduate of Eastern High School, Class of 1973, and attended Carmel Sutton Church. George enjoyed spending time with his friends known as the “ Grey Panther Club” fishing, watching sunsets on his front porch.
George is survived by his children: Heather McDonald (Tony), Andrew Mora, Bethany Gaul (David), and Brandon Floyd. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Meredith, Bailee, Christian, Reise, Cameron, Jadyn, Madison, Amani, and Haileen. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; Siblings, Jackie (Steve) Frost, Richard (Denise) Mora, and Judy (Larry) Bunger; a special neighbor Mariah Loving, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Ray Van Matre, and sister-in-law, Mary (Fred) Chapman and a special dog “Mattie Mae”.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Mora, in 2020, and his sister, Janet Eblin.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy. At George’s request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation will follow.
