George “Bill” William Pullins

George William “Bill” Pullins, 89, of Pomeroy Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on March 21, 1937, in London, Ohio, Bill was the beloved son of the late Raymond and Mary Pullins.

Bill was the last surviving son of five brothers—Bob, Jerry, Karl, and Paul Pullins. Family was at the center of Bill’s life, and the love he had for those around him was evident in everything he did.

In 1955, Bill graduated from Pomeroy High School. He went on to build a life defined by hard work, determination, family, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. In 1969, he founded Pullins Excavating, an accomplishment that became one of his greatest legacies. What began with his vision and hard work grew into a family legacy that he proudly passed down to his sons. More than a business, Pullins Excavating represented Bill’s belief in working hard, doing things right, and leaving something meaningful behind for the next generation.

Bill was married to the love of his life, the late Linda Sue (Frick) Pullins, for 64 years. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared a lifetime of memories, challenges, laughter, and love. Their marriage was a testament to a lifelong commitment to one another.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda; his daughter, Lori Ann; and his cherished great-grandson, Tyson Scott Steven Pullins. Though their absence left an immeasurable hole in his heart, their memories remained forever a part of him.

He leaves behind his three sons, Rod Pullins, Steve (Roberta) Pullins, and Kevin (Angie) Pullins; his cherished granddaughters, Stephanie, Stacy, Sarah, Chelsey, and Emily Pullins; as well as 12 beloved great-grandchildren and his great-great-grandson, Hudson. Also surviving is his sister and brother-in-laws Jerri Ball, Ed (Sue) Frick, Paula (Carl) Hall. 

To his family, Bill was so much more than a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a source of strength, wisdom, love, and guidance. He was someone whose presence made a difference simply by being there. His hands built a business, but his heart built a family—and that is the legacy he leaves behind.

His family will forever carry the lessons he taught them, the stories he shared, the memories they made, and most importantly, the love he gave so freely.

Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort knowing that the legacy of George William “Bill” Pullins will live on through the generations he loved so dearly.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of his family.

services will be held at Anderson-McDaniel Funeral home in Pomeroy, OH on Sunday August 16th. Friends may call from 1-2. Services will begin at 2 with internment following at the Rock Springs Cemetery.
