Harold Lewis Anderson

Harold Lewis Anderson, 92, of the Pomeroy area, passed away on March 16, 2026. He was born January 9, 1934, to the late Raymond and Helen (Rings) Anderson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Marie (Wesley) Anderson; and his brothers, Charles Emmitt Anderson, Tom Anderson, William “Toots” Anderson, and Samuel Anderson.

Harold is survived by his sister, Kesena Grueser; his son, Steve Anderson and wife Carla, along with their sons, Kyle Anderson and Ryan Anderson; and his daughter, Cindy (Anderson) Prater and husband Bill, along with their sons, Braden Prater and Trenton Prater, Bill Prater as well as great-grandson Ethan Prater. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Peggy (Wesley) Chesteen Caylor and husband Wayne, and Eva Anderson; along with many nieces and nephews.

Harold proudly served his country as a veteran of both the United States Army and the United States Air Force, receiving many honors and being honorably discharged from both branches. He was also a member of the Middleport American Legion. Harold retired from Midwest Steele Company in Pomeroy.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Graham Cemetery in New Haven, West Virginia.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy, Ohio.

Harold will be remembered for his service, his dedication to his family, and the many lives he touched throughout his years.
