John Manley, 83, of Pomeroy, Ohio, passed away on February 14, 2026. He was born on August 4, 1942, in Ohio to the late Charles and Merle Manley.
John is survived by his loving wife, Sharon (Hysell) Manley; his son, Rodney Manley; his daughter, Angela Manley of Pomeroy; and his son-in-law, Richard Dugan. He was a proud grandfather to Mark and Shawna Young, Chelsea Stewart, Miranda Manley-Blair, Charlie and Devan Barrett, and Dryden and Carissa Dugan. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Bralyn, Marshall, Daenarys Young, Dimitri Manley, and Haddie, Lilly, and Grace Barrett.
He is also survived by his sisters, Jeanne Halley and Patsy Ogden.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter, Dena (Manley) Dugan; one sister; and two brothers.
John loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting, camping, and spending time with his family. He was deeply involved in his community and dedicated many years of service as a member of the Volunteer Fire Department and EMS. He was also a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners, and formerly served as Trustee of FOE 2171.
John will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his faithful service to his community, and the many lives he touched throughout his years.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy. Burial will follow at the Rocksprings Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service (11-1:00pm). Masonic service will be held at 1:00pm
