Joshua Neil Farley

Joshua Neil Farley, of Rutland, Ohio passed away surrounded by family and love on October 9, 2023 at the age of 42. He fought hard until his final breath and his bright smile and contagious laugh will forever be missed. Joshy, to those who loved him greatly, was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 30, 1981 to Rick and Tammy Farley as the third of four children.

Josh loved his family, friends and the great outdoors where was always dreaming of tagging that perfect buck. He was loyal, kind, generous and full of love. He adored his 13 nieces and nephews and enjoyed spoiling them when he could. Josh was known for giving the best hugs and always loved a good joke. He worked hard and loved harder.

Josh is survived by his mama Tammy Farley, brother Anthony Farley (Jennifer), sister Tanya Young, and the love of his life Katelynn Farley. He will be forever cherished by his 8 nieces and 5 nephews, as well as many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Rick Farley, brother Rickey Farley, niece Bailey Young, Aunt Jenny Farley, grandparents Ermine and Edith Farley and Raymond and Sharon Brown and others whose lives are missed.  

Services will be held at Anderson McDaniel Funeral home in Pomeroy, OH on Friday October 13, 2023. The viewing will be at 10am followed by a service at Noon. Final resting place will be at the Farley homestead in Rutland, OH. In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe has been created to help with funeral expenses.
