Linda Chavez-Orindo, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in Ohio at the age of 81. Born on November 7, 1943, in Portland, Oregon, Linda lived a life filled with warmth, compassion, and quiet strength.

Linda found joy in the simple pleasures—watching birds flutter through her backyard, curling up with a good book, playing Scrabble with loved ones, and spending time with her cherished dogs. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by family, and she was a constant source of love and support to her children and grandchildren.

Professionally, Linda dedicated herself to education and literacy, serving as a librarian and later as a Teacher’s Aide for developmentally disabled children. Her gentle guidance and nurturing spirit touched many young lives, and her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she helped shape.

Linda is survived by her children, Rachel Diane Gentile and Michael Chavez; her brother, Bob Willard; her grandchildren, Daytona Cullen, Jessie Cullen, Billy Gentile, Christian Chavez, Tiara Dorer, and Ashley Dorer; and her great-grandchildren, Zane Cullen, Connor Cullen, and Ivy Raine Gentile. She was preceded in death by her cherished first husband, Richard Chavez; her beloved second husband, Chuck Orindo; her stepson, Matthew Orindo; and her brother, Eric Willard.

She will be remembered most for her unwavering devotion to her family and her radiant smile, which warmed every room she entered. Linda’s presence was a gift, and her memory will continue to inspire kindness, resilience, and love.
