Michelle Lynn Bunce

Michelle Lynn Taylor Bunce, age 55, was born on October 21, 1970, and passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2025, leaving behind family and friends who loved her deeply.

Michelle had a strong love for the outdoors and found joy in hiking, camping and boating, often finding peace and comfort in nature. She had a deep affection for animals and was known for her caring heart, frequently helping to rescue and care for them. Though she often enjoyed her solitude, Michelle was always willing to help anyone in need, no matter the circumstances.

Family meant everything to Michelle. She especially cherished spending time with her brother and was deeply devoted to her loved ones. She played an important role in the upbringing of her grandson, Christopher Bunce, whom she loved dearly.

Michelle was preceded in death by her brother, Christopher Roush; her stepfather, Ray Roush; her uncle, Steve Smith; her aunt, Sandy Taylor; her grandmother, Marjorie Smith; her grandfather, Carl Taylor; her grandmother, Anna Taylor; father in law, Larry Bunce and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Bunce; her daughter, Stevie Bunce; her son, Zachary Bunce; and her grandson, Christopher Bunce. She is also survived by her mother, Brenda Roush; her father, Gary Taylor; her aunts and uncles, Mary Simpson, Donna (Wallace) Hatfield, Larry (Joyce) Taylor, and Terry Roush; mother in law, Reva Bunce and brother in law Randy (Lori) Bunce, along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her greatly.

Michelle will be remembered for her quiet strength, her compassion for others, and her unwavering love for her family.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 2:00pm at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy with Pastor Wesley Young officiating.   Burial will follow at the Carleton Church Cemetery.   Visitation for family and friends will be held two hours prior to the service (12:00pm-2:00pm).
