Richard David Koblentz, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 5, 2023.
He has been eternally reunited with his father, David J. Koblentz and mother, Hilda Marie (Genheimer) Koblentz.
Rick was born on February 21, 1947 in Parkersburg, WV.
He was a graduate from The Ohio State University and never missed a chance to cheer on the Buckeyes. Due in part to his involvement in 4H and FFA and his work with COBA Select Sites and ODOT, Rick knew every farm and road in Meigs County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, and good meals with his family. He was an avid farmer and had a huge heart for animals. Rick never met a stranger and would be happy to talk for hours to anyone that would share stories.
Rick's legacy will live on through his cherished loved ones including his son Jordan Koblentz, his daughters Georgana Koblentz, Vicki Warner, and Kristina Finlaw, daughter-in-law Hannah Hill, sons-in-law Cody Smith and Matthew Finlaw, grandchildren, Charlotte Koblentz, Mattison Finlaw, Lucas Finlaw, Claire Ohlinger, Griffin Ohlinger, and Violet Ohlinger, his sister Patricia Wolf, his brother-in-law and friend Gary Wolf, the mother of his children, Cindy Turley, his friend Kenneth Turley and nieces and great nieces and a nephew and great nephews.
