Shirley Ann Buckner, passed away on Saturday, March 11,2023 at the Obleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. She was born on December 13, 1947 in Middleport to the late Hershal and Kathryn Buckner. She was a homemaker who enjoed her grankids and bingo.
She is survived by her children: Angela Hubbard (David Persons) and David (Paula) Hubbard; grandchildren, Dalton Spangler, Deni Persons, Devon Hubbard, Jarrod and Bryanna Hall; great grandchild, Cameron Combs; brother-in-laws; Jim Youtsy and John Carter and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Freeman; grandson, Allan Hubbard; siblings, Eddie Buckner, Charlie Buckner, Bonnie Carter, Carolyn Youtsey, Johnny Buckner, Hershel Buckner Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 11:00am at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 6-8:00pm at the funeral home.
