Shirley Ann Huston

Shirley Ann Huston, 91, passed away on August 26, 2026. She was born February 1, 1935, the daughter of the late Theodore and Loretta Beegle.

Shirley was a warm and social person who enjoyed spending time with others. She was an avid reader and had a special love for sweets. She loved animals, especially cats, and found great enjoyment in flowers and gardening. Shirley was also talented with her hands and owned a craft business, allowing her creativity to bring joy to others.

She is survived by her children, Aimee (David) Carmin, Daniel (Paige) Huston, David Huston, and Doug (Teresa) Huston; grandchildren, Jonathan Carmin and Rachel (Travis) Graf; and great-grandson, Emeric Graf. She is also survived by her sister, Rita Fisher; brother, Ted Beegle; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Huston.

Shirley will be remembered for her friendly nature, her creativity, her love of animals and flowers, and the happiness she found in life’s simple pleasures. Her memory will be cherished by her family and all who knew and loved her.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 11:00am the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pomeroy.  Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.   Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 6-8:00pm at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy.
