Steve Richard Dailey, 77 of Racine, OH, passed away peacefully with his loving family surrounding him. Steve was born March 26, 1949, to Floyd R. and Eva Marie Dailey. He was a graduate of Southern High School Class of ’67. Steve also graduated from Bell and Howell School of Technology with an associates degree in electrical technology. He retired from the James M Gavin Power Plant. Steve was a Veteran having served in the United States Navy in Greece. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting stones as well as just spending time in the woods enjoying nature.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Rhonda Ervin Dailey, son Shawn E. Dailey, daughter Heather E. (Dale) Johnson, granddaughter Shelbi (Blade Brinker) Dailey, grandson Peyton Johnson, great-grandson Ryker William Brinker, his sister Donna (Jim Hamm) Dailey Watson, brothers-in-law Buddy (Sally) Ervin, Herbie (T.C.) Ervin, sisters-in-law Sharon Hall, Bev (Roger) Willford, Teresa (Ron) Wilson, Tammy (Jerry) McClung, special aunt Ruby Ludwig, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Steve was blessed with many special friends over the years. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Marie Dailey, his mother and father-in-law Howard and Nancy Ervin, paternal grandparents Omer and Whinnie B. Dailey and maternal grandparents Dan and Audrey Weddle.
At the request of the deceased there will be no visitation or funeral. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Steve was a lover of nature and planted hundreds of trees in his lifetime.
