Taylor Dawn Shaffer, age 19 tragically passed away in a car accident on the 7th of August 2023. Taylor was a graduate of Eastern High School, class of 2022.
Taylor was the youngest daughter of Tiffany and Donald Shaffer and the sister of Alyssa and Haley Shaffer. Taylor was an expecting mother of a baby girl, Ruth Anne Marie Watson , due in November 2023. She is preceded in death by her great grandfather, Lawrence Metcalf and her great grandmother, Ruth Smith. Taylor's memory will forever be cherished by her parents, sisters, many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
As a child she was known for her strong minded personality and her ability to make everyone around her laugh, she carried these traits her entire life. She loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, archery and working on cars with her best friend.
Her memory is now our keepsake.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy, Ohio with Pastor Larry Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilmore Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 12, from 6-8:00pm at the funeral home.
